Throughout the history of the development of Marxism, Marx and Engels didn’t write any specific works on moral issue. However, Marx and Engels’ moral thought does play an important role in Marxism theory, which provides strong moral support for the development and construction of Marxism theory.The first chapter describes the background and theoretical source of Marx and Engels morality. Against a backdrop where the Enlightenment and social reforms were in full swing in Europe, Marx and Engels inherited and viewed critically the Classic philosophy from Germany, the Classical political economy and the Utopian Socialism from Britain on the basis of economical and political reality at that time and then they demonstrated their ideas on morality. The combination of Marx and Engels’ moral outlook on moral issues with China’ current conditions not only plays an important role in the theoretical value of the practice and construction of Socialist morality but also makes significantly contribution to the advance of all Chinese citizens’ moral quality and the cultivation of the right world outlook,life outlook and moral values of them.We should regard Marx and Engels’ moral outlook as theoretical basis, and apply to the socialist moral construction. It has an important role to guide the construction of Chinese socialist morality. It also plays the most valuable part in deeply studying Marx and Engels’ moral outlook.
