The ancestors of Achang were scattered over vast mountains of the Yunlong Country in history. Till the Gungxu years of the Qing Dynasty, there was still little description on social culture of Achang and Ochang in the Han literature, though they had already become disadvantaged during this period. With the development of history, Achang gradually integrated into Han 、 Bai population who were strong migrants locally. After the founding of new China, almost no people in Yunlong claimed "Achang" in ethnic identification. However, a large part of residents in Renshan Caojian town were then called "Achang" and "Ochang" in a contemptuous way by other populations. Until the 1980 s, these people who had not known the meaning of but been abused with the “Achang” label had finally learnt their historical roots, and recovered their ethnic identification as Achang in the late 80 s.In this paper, based on abundant first-hand information and literature material, with ethnic equality policy implementation and further practice in our country, through the process of the people living together with multiple ethnic group in Renshan Caojian town recovered to Achang ethnic identity from the Han ethnic identity to discuss how the national power affect the change of the ethnic identity,to explore the issue how to link the history and construct the culture when the ethnic language disappeared and the historical memory fractured.on this account discussing the points of "Primordialist approach" and "instrumentalist apporach" of ethnic identity, pointing out that cultural transplantion is the way and common phenomenon of ethnic identity and ethnic communication, but cultural transplantation into the environment where lost its traditional culture soil is unaccustomed,it still needs a long-term effort especially under the background that mainstream culture, and popular culture have a strong influence in traditional culture today. This possibility will be difficult to achieve. Therefore, when some of the people who live in Renshan Country had been recovered and aparted, the culture boundary is difficult formed between them, and the ethnic identity is in a state of fuzzy, the ethnic emotion is hard to cultivate, but the utilitarian purpose is more outstanding. The first chapter gives an overview of the Achang from various aspects – the natural ecological environment, population and ethnic group, layout of the village, marriage and family, religious belief and festivals, ways of living and economic development – in order to emphasize that the culture of Renshan village is a kind of culture with rich local characteristics. The second chapter emphasizes the historical remains, the old words and the legends to talk about the evidence and reason of Achang recovering to its own ethnic identity from "Han" identity. The third chapter combs the process of identity recovery of Achang from "Han" identity thirty years ago to discuss how national power affects the change of ethnic identity, presenting the lack of ethnic culture and confusion of ethnic identity after getting the Achang ethnic identity. The last chapter elaborates on the actions of Achang people while obtaining their political identity. They actively strengthen the family relationships, construct the Achang culture, strengthen the ethnic identity and cultivate ethnic emotion to enhance ethnic identity consciousness and culture identity consciousness. This attempts to discuss the issue of culture construction and rooting of the minority population after their identity recovery under the state power; and uses the theory of ethnic group boundaries to discuss that it needs time and efforts to let the cultural elements transplanted from the main ethnic group grow in the soil where traditional Chinese culture is deeply ingrained, and thus become a cultural boundary. It is difficult to recover and reconstruct the ethnic language and culture once they disappear and broke down.
