The Perspectives Of Local Government To The Network Public Opinion

According to the relevant report released by the China Internet Information Center shows that as of June 2015, the number of Internet users in China have reached Six hundred and sixty-eight million, and the Internet penetration rate has reached 48.8%. In recent years, incidents of the network public opinions appeared frequently, the new media, especially the rising of the micro media also accelerates the spread of the network public opinions, what has a significant impact on the whole society. Therefore,the promotion of the government crisis management ability is necessary. Attributed to the poor coping ability of the local government, network public opinion crisis occurred frequently, and government credibility is damaged. I work in the publicity department of local government, has long been actively involved in issues relating to network public opinion. In order to further improve and enhance the work, this paper takes Suzhou as an example studying the current situation, problems and deficiencies of the network public opinion in the perspective of the governance of local government. At last, some improvement steps and advice are put forward.Firstly, the concept of network public opinion and local government governance are defined, including the concept,features, contents, also the relationship between the two. Secondly, taking Suzhou city as an example, this paper expounds the basic situation, the position of public opinion, the distribution characteristics of public opinion and the work pattern of public opinion. Through the empirical analysis of typical cases, the experience and practice are found, which provides a useful reference for the next step. Finally, in response to the problems and deficiencies of the local government in dealing with the network public opinion, I have given the countermeasures and suggestions from the perspective of government governance,mainly including the institutional criteria, the establishment of credibility, the quality of their staff,the role of micro media and so on.In short, I hope this paper can provide reference for the improvement of the ability of government administration for Suzhou and other local governments.
