A6.5 magnitude earthquake hit Ludian county of Zhaotong in Yunnan province. It happened at 16:30pm at a depth of 12km On August 3 2014.The earthquake caused a very significant personnel and economic losses to the local people, and has already made the poor regions more severely. The earthquake also affects the local villagers’ daily lives. Due to the serious damage of Ludian earthquake, Lijiashan village which is located in south of the town of Huo dehong in Ludian county was forced to move. The villagers moved from the depths of the mountains to the town life. This article is based on the field survey of Lijiashan, took observation, participant observation, and deep interview as methods, and analyzed these problems from the perspective of ethnology and anthropology, such as the village in the fragile environment during the earthquake, the recovery and reconstruction process of local village after the earthquake and the change of livelihood, life style caused by the village relocation after the earthquake, etc.This paper is divided into three chapters to discuss:start with the introduction, mainly introduced the selected topic research causes and significance, the fieldwork site introduction, research methods, and summarized the related earthquake anthropology and cultural change of domestic and foreign research. The first chapter mainly analyzes the village’s environmental and human population vulnerability. The second chapter mainly discusses the village’s restoration process, and the contradiction and the lack of water resources in the reconstruction process. The third chapter analyzes the culture change culture adaption of the local people after the earthquake.The earthquake triggered secondary disasters in the early stage, such as landslides, collapse, Barrier Lake. In the later period, the restoration also contributed to the local social and cultural changes. After villagers’living environment change, it brings the change of social culture. The trouble with this is the villagers must adapt to the new environment and way of life.
