Rural Empty-nesters Life Present Situation Investigation And Study

Since entering the 21 st century, China’s aging population and aging trends become more evident. Accompanied by the increase of the elderly population, the number of empty nesters are more and more, showing a growing trend. Rural empty-nesters face greater difficulties in economic conditions, state of health, care and facilities for the elderly, compared with the cities empty-nesters. So this article analyzes the present situation and problems of rural empty-nesters,using the method of questionnaire and case interview, taking lao tun village of Yan Bian Zhou as the example. I find the empty-nesters of the village mainly face the following problems: economic income no guarantee; health care; lack of life care; lack of spiritual comfort; remarried difficult, through the analysis of the questionnaire and interview data. The reasons for these problems have more than one level: children’s filial piety to old-age support function of weakening; the elderly are susceptible to traditional ideas; society lacks the right public opinion direction; Inadequate protection of the government and weak sense of service. Finally, the author puts forward the solution to the village of empty-nesters life predicament some countermeasures: first, inheriting the filial piety and paying attention to the spiritual support; changing ideas and actively participating in social interaction; actively creating a respect for the elderly love the social atmosphere of support; promoting government security level and strengthening the service consciousness, on the basis of actual situation and relevant literature. This article embarks from the principle of the particularity of contradiction, in line with the principle of analyzing the specific problems, based on the field investigation to obtain true information as writing. So, it is more targeted and feasibility to deal with the problem of the village empty-nesters, and having certain reference significance for solving the problem of other areas in China’s rural empty-nesters.
