With the progress of era and unceasing enhancement of economic life level, various financial products are filled with the society as a whole. Like other commodities, financial products also gradually developed into a regular consumption. But compared with ordinary products, there is distinct professional and complexity in financial products. In the process of specific transactions, consumers are often difficult to recognize their legitimate rights and interests accurately or protect it. Such as the practical case of infringement of consumers legal rights and interests occurred repeatedly. The voice of protecting financial consumers increasing, the legal protection of financial consumers is particularly important in the current situation. Since the financial crisis in 2008, increasing importance is being attached to protection of financial consumers in our country, but compared with the current vigorous development of the financial market, is still slightly lagging. This is the original intention of writing this paper.Social responsibility theory, consumer paramountcy theory, the government intervention theory and the theory of two peaks, all of these theories above mentioned provides a sufficient legal basis for protection of financial consumers. This paper discussed rule-by-law practice of financial consumer rights and interests protection of some counties an areas, such as the United States, Britain, Japan and Taiwan area. Based on that, expounding distinctive systems, summarizes relevant legal norms and practices which is revelatory to our country. Besides that, this paper analyze in-depth the current situation and problems of financial consumers legal protection in our country. According to these questions,bring forth feasible suggestions.
