Nowadays, our society is experiencing a critical transition, in which the development of economy and dissemination of information is growing rapidly. Therefore, social development calls more professionals and talents who are expected as well. Meanwhile, colleges and universities are demanded to train more professionals and talents who can adopt the rapid development of the society. College Ideological and Political Theory Courses has the responsibility to teach students, who are the core force in social construction in the future, to establish correct values and views on life. It is significant to evaluate Ideological and Political Theory Courses in colleges and universities, because it is a very important method for its promotion and development. However, current mode of the evaluation is limited to some extent, in its theory, subject and standard. So the reformation of college Ideological and Political Theory Courses should be based on the practice and in its long term interest. Besides, it should be combined with the present features and its trend to break through the limitation of current mode of the evaluation. The developmental evaluation can overcome the limitations of the tradition mode and improve the teaching of college Ideological and Political Theory Courses.Based on Marxism theory and Theoretical System of the Chinese characteristic socialism, the thesis is combined with multi-disciplinary theories and practices to rethink profoundly about present college Ideological and Political Theory Courses. The thesis involves many basic theories of Developmental Evaluation on Ideological and Political Theory Courses, such as the theory about the full development of human, Sustainable Development thought, subjective education view, cognitive theory, assumption of human nature and so on. The fact can be found that college Ideological and Political Theory Courses have value orientations including aim, process, content, and subject, involve basic principles of orientation, science, feasibility, diversification, and development and process the functions of guidance, assessment, incitement, and control. Moreover, some management theories, like SMART principles、holographic ideas、and OEC management strategies, will be used in the thesis to enhance the Reliability and scope of Developmental Evaluation on Ideological and Political Theory Courses. At the end, the thesis will come up with new way in Developmental Evaluation on Ideological and Political Theory Courses.
