Study On Shandong Academy In Song And Yuan Dynasty

The academy of classical learning, which is newly born in Tang dynasty, is a cultural and educational organization for Chinese scholars. The academy played an important role in the history of educational development. It is an educational organization, which went through Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasties and lasted for a thousand years. During Tang period, the academy was in its infancy and its various systems were established during Song dynasty, and it developed afterwards because of the support of the ruler. Shandong is the source of Confucian culture,and it is also one of the main birthplaces of the academy.This thesis mainly talks about the Shandong academy during Song and Yuan period and is going to discuss its overall context, cultural meaning and historical significance.The article is divided into six parts:Part one introduces the reasons for choosing the topic, current state at home and abroad, research methods, and the innovation and difficulties of this article. Part two is the brief introduction of what the educational development situation was like before Song, and it is the preparation for the research of the main content. Part three analyses the reasons for establishing the Shandong academy as well as the spatial distribution of Shandong Academy. Part four talks about the functions of Shandong academy from the following five aspects:the lectures, the academic studies, making books, religious worship and school fields. Part five analyses the Shandong academy’s academic characteristics of the research,sacrificial rites and medical with the example of Taishan academy, Zhusi academy, Nishan academy and Lishan academy.Part six is the sublimate and the purpose of the thesis,it discusses the historical significance of Shandong academy during Song and Yuan from the formation of school and development of talented people,the revival of Confucianism and Confucian cultural spirit of caring, academies and the Imperial Court and local government interaction, on the impact of Shandong Academy of Ming and Qing dynasties, experience reference in the contemporary cultural construction.
