Research On Female Graduate Career Planning And Coping Strategies

As highly educated talents，graduate is society’s important human resources，they play a very important role in promoting the development of the society. Theemployment pressure has been rising because of the increasing number of graduates,make a scientific career planning is one of the important factors graduateemployment,therefore, improve graduates′career planning ability has become aproblem to be solved urgently. Nowadays the pressure of the whole graduateemployment has been growing, affected by social culture, traditional beliefs, as wellas women’s physical and mental characteristics, female graduates not only have toface serious difficulties in job hunting, but also have to confront a series of specialproblems in the future career development.This study selected200graduates from six majors and three grades of EUniversity as research object, the investigation was carried out by using “thegraduates career planning questionnaires”, finally, the author received192questionnaires, and got the following conclusion by using SPSS18.0statisticalanalysis.Looking from the whole, the present career planning status of female graduatesfrom E university is not good. Among demographic variables, the dimension of age isthe only item which is significant correlated with the career planning status of thefemale graduates. Another problem should be paid attention to is that the careerplanning level of female graduates goes up with the grades increased. Amongindividual psychological factors, major loyalty, self-efficacy, the cognition of womenemployment discrimination and the consciousness of the importance of careerplanning education are significant positively correlated with the career planning statusof female graduate. Among the school factors, curriculum, the communication withthe teacher, and the satisfaction with the career planning education of the school aresignificant related with the career planning status of female graduate.
