Objective::To survey the current situation factors of the new nurses’ careerself-management and professional identity, and to explore the influencing of thecareer self-management from from two aspects of action plans and degree of mentalpreparation in the third-grade class A general hospitals in Taiyuan,and provide thebasis for the new nurses career management and education; The new nurses carriedout the career planning training, and analyze the counseling effects, forming aneffective way on new nurses’ career planning training. In order to provided a set ofreferable and operational career management counseling methods for nurses.Methods: In survey research,using convenience sampling method, for370clinicalnew nurses of3third-grade class A general hospitals in Taiyuan conductedquestionnaire survey,370questionnaires were given totally, and358questionnaireswere taken back. The recovery rate is96.76%.12invalid questionnaires wereexcluded, and there are358valid questionnaires. The effective rate is96.76%.Thequestionnaires include general information questionnaire,"Individual CareerManagement Scale" and "Professional Identity Scale". Using SPSS13.0statisticalsoftware to analysis the data. These methods included descriptive statistics, t-test,analysis of variance, Pearson rank correlation, multiple regression analysis, etc.In the intervention study,76new nurses from one of the third-grade class Ageneral hospitals in Taiyuan were selected as research object by recruiting andpersonal interviews. Followed by randomization group,37new nurses inexperimental group, and39in control group. experimental group carried out thecomprehensive career planning counseling according, respectively, according to thecharacteristics and requirements for new nurses; The control group was the blankcontrol.and tests were used before and after the counseling by "Individual CareerManagement Scale" and "Professional Identity Scale". Using SPSS13.0statisticalsoftware to analysis the data, these methods included t-test, analysis of variance, etc. through the quantitative research and qualitative research discussion counseling effectResults:1Survey results:(1)The scores of "Individual Career Management Scale" and "Professional IdentityScale": The Individual Career Management Scale was (2.64±0.607),TheProfessional Identity Scale was (3.18±0.335).(2)The influence factors of the individual career management for new nurses: gender,the only child,whether in nursing work after graduation、 Whether active contactpractice unitscore was not statistically significant (P>0.05); student cadres、reasons for the choiceof nursing occupation、employment standards score was statistically significant (P<0.05)The influence factors of the professional identity for new nurses: gender, the onlychild score was not statistically significant (P>0.05);student cadres、reasons for thechoice of nursing occupation、whether in nursing work after graduation、Whetheractive contact practice unit、employment standards score was statistically significant(P<0.05)。(3) vocational interest、 employment standards、 reasonable plan of action areimportant influence factors of new nurses’ career management.(4) self-awareness, self-management methods, career planning methods, PubMedinformation candidates nursing jobs, nursing benefits, hospital jobs, and with ateacher, and patient communication and other aspects of guidance is theundergraduate nursing students counseling needs.2results of intervention:There were significantly differences in new nurses’ individual career managementand professional identity between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05); before and after intervention, the differences of scores on new nurses’individual career management and professional identity in the experimental groupwere statistically significant (P<0.05), while those of the control group had no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:1The individual career management of new nurses is at a medium level,and it is thesame as the professional identity.2There are many factors of the new nurses’ career self-management,and thedemands of career self-management are urgently needed for themselves,and hospitalsand schools should be based on the requirements and effect factors of new nurses tocarry out targeted career management counseling.3The counseling for the new nurses,classroom teaching、professional experience、career counseling,should be hierarchical and successive,that will benefit all of newnurses in improving the current situation of the new nurses’ career self-managementand making the grade.4Career Counseling is improving undergraduate practice nursing students ofindividual career management way.
