The implementation of the new curriculum standard requires teachers tochange their traditional teaching concept. For teaching goals, they aresupposed to be changed from simple knowledge goals to a three-dimensionalobject, namely, knowledge and skills, process and methods, emotional attitudeand values, which pay attention to improve the students’ scientific literacy. Forteaching content, it should be expanded from a single textbook knowledge toan open content, and should be contacted with actual life, modern society andthe development of science and technology, which can help the students getinto life from the classroom teaching. What is more, teaching content shouldembody contemporaneity, fundamentality and selectivity. For teachingmethods, the teaching model should be changed from teacher-centeredness inwhich the teacher explains and the students just listen to student-centerednessin which the students study mainly by themselves, advocating a variety ofteaching methods. This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One analyzes the researchbackground of this topic, which introduces the history and research of thegrouping teaching both at home and abroad and finds out the teaching ideasand inspiration of middle schools in rural according to it, so as to make thesignificance of research clear and establish the research questions. ChapterTwo is focused on the theoretical basis of grouping teaching and defining relevant concepts, which set a theoretical foundation for this study. ChapterThree is about research methods. Chapter Four is the research design based ongroup teaching theory, which contains the following aspects: clear objectives, determine the research subjects, design the questionnaire, conduct the groupteaching model in rural middle school and study teaching cases. Chapter Fiveis the analysis and discussion of the results of the group teaching, whichanalyzes and evaluates students’ test scores and discusses questionnaires backfrom the students. Then this chapter puts forward rural middle schoolchemistry classroom group teaching strategies according to the analysis results, the characteristics of chemistry and characteristics of the rural middle schoolstudents. In this thesis, Chapter Six is the conclusion of the study, and the resultsshow the following aspects:1. Compared with traditional teaching, the group teaching is helpful toimprove students’ learning enthusiasm, especially when ask the students whoare relatively poor and introverted in study to play a role in the group, to findthe pleasure of learning and get chance to show themselves so as to realizetheir self value and enhance the confidence of studying chemistry well;2. Compared with traditional teaching, the students’ competitionconsciousness between groups will enhance, and the students’ cooperationconsciousness in the group will also enhance, which can help the students toform competition and cooperation in the class, form the benign competition in learning, learn to cooperate, help each other and form the correct values andoutlook on life.3.
