The Applied Research Of Sibelius Music Software In The Junior High School Music Teaching

Nowadays, modern educational technology effect education reform both widelyand deeply. The application and usage of multimedia in the field of educationtechnology is no longer a new phenomenon. Meanwhile, computer music software isfrequently used in education today as well. A prime example of very powerful musicsoftware for music composition and music teaching is Sibelius, as it is accepted andused by most musicians in the world. This study aims to analyses how Sibelius worksin junior high school music teaching.Junior high school education is a very important part of national compulsoryeducation in China. An individual student’s cognition level, thinking ability andpsychological characteristics all mature during this period. Fully considering a juniorhigh school student’s growth characteristics and by using investigation andexperiment research methods, this study will discuss, in depth, how effective Sibeliusis in junior high school music teaching. Then we can decide whether to implementSibelius music software into our junior high school music teaching. This study willalso illustrate the value of Sibelius by comparing it to some other similar digitalmusic software. This study contains the following parts:Part one: General description of this study (Chapter1-3)In this part, I will describe the basic theories about junior high school music teachingin China and the issues that exist in music teaching via media devices. This part willprovide theoretical support for the following analysis of using Sibelius musicsoftware.Part two: Study of the theory (Chapter4-6)This is the core part of this study. Firstly, I will introduce the research process of thisstudy, then I will analyses the advantages of using Sibelius and finally I will describethe existing problems and then present potential solutions.Part three: Conclusion (Chapter7)This chapter is the conclusion of the study, where I will present the final conclusionof the use of Sibelius and the significance of using Sibelius in music teaching for highschool students.
