Higher vocational education in Taiwan is a major feature of the development of highereducation, in just a few decades of history, its development is like a history of Taiwan’seconomic development, economic development followed its development context as well asto meet the demand for talent demand for social and people. It was the creation of Taiwan"economic miracle" has made a significant contribution to its educational system and thesystem of vocational education has become the recognized countries in the world. Industrycooperation is one of the important current policies of higher vocational education in Taiwan.In order to encourage higher technical and vocational institutions and industrial cooperation,Taiwan "Ministry of Education", made an active and effective use of school resources andbusiness together to create more value. Industry-university research collaboration is broadlydivided into two aspects of development and personnel training, research and developmentmainly focused on cooperation between industry and the overall planning between schools,which aims to strengthen the capacity of schools and business two-way communication, withacademic research to guide industry the right philosophy to help industrial upgrading andeconomic development; relative also to enhance the academic standards of research anddevelopment, scientific and technological resources in order to achieve regional integrationconcept. In addition, personnel training cooperation to shorten the school emphasizes teachingand industry needs through the course of the fall and teaching institutions, strengthen theability of students in the workplace, enhance the competitiveness of the industry. Twoindustry-university cooperation must have all aspects of the design, in order to promoteindustrial and academic needs are met, the formation of industry-university cooperation andwin-win mode of operation. After a long exploration of higher vocational education in Taiwanindustry cooperation has achieved some success, forming a unique operating system.This study hopes to study the higher vocational education development inindustry-university cooperation in Taiwan, combing their development process, try togeneralize and summarize the law of development, expected to yield higher vocationalschools to learn cooperation and development in mainland China to provide somesuggestions.The study is divided into four parts, the first part of the introduction, first introduces theresearch background and significance of the topic of this study and literature review of the study, and then briefly research ideas, methods and related concepts. Second part of Taiwanvocational areas to analyze the development process, the first account of the background oftechnical and vocational education development in Taiwan, and then the development ofhigher vocational education in Taiwan is divided into three stages of development process:start-up period-social development of labor-intensive stage of development-Technology-intensive stage and mature stage of knowledge and information-based; the third part, thestatus of the Higher Vocational Education Development of Industry-University Cooperation inTaiwan, the development of industry-university cooperation, development policies,development strategies of industry-university cooperation, lack of managerial and outlook forthe future of industry-university cooperation thinking; Part IV, based on the findings of theHigher Vocational Education Industry Cooperation mainland provide countermeasures andsuggestions.
