Study On Industry And Education Cooperation Of Higher Vocational Education In Taiwan

In more than60years, the Taiwan’s local government, industry, educationsuccessfully constructed a complete set of industry and education cooperation model.The industry and education cooperation of higher vocational education in Taiwan setsan example for the vocational education system in the world, and it occupies anabsolute advantage in meet the needs of industrial development and the labor market.The paper researches on the developing process, typical features of industry andeducation cooperation of higher vocational education in Taiwan. Its successfulexperiences provide some valuable suggestions for the improvement of highervocational education in mainland.The main research methods of this study includes: documentation method,historical research and comparative analysis. Firstly, the study summarizes thedomestic and foreign scholars’ success in their industry and education cooperationresearch of Taiwan. Based on this, this paper further emphasizes the interactionbetween higher vocational schools and industries in the process of industry andeducation cooperation. Secondly, the paper analyzes the whole formation andevolution of Taiwan’s industry and education cooperation, mainly from the historicalperspective of economic and higher vocational education development. It made agreat contribution to meet the needs of economic development and industrialupgrading, but it is facing new challenges in the knowledge economical society.Thirdly, this study researches on the specific strategies, measures and futuredevelopment trends of industry and education cooperation in Taiwan, and analyzesseveral typical industry and education cooperation plans. Finally, the papersummarizes the features of industry and education cooperation in Taiwan. Learningfrom its successful experience, we put forward some reference suggestions for solvingthe problems which exist in the process of industry and education cooperation ofhigher vocational education in mainland. The problems include training target, raisingthe quality of teachers, setting up the organization, improving the evaluation systemof industry and education cooperation and so on. It can enhance the mainland tounderstand the industry and education cooperation of higher vocational education inTaiwan and strengthen mutual communication of higher vocational education.
