In the past decade, media technologies maintain rapid growth.Web1.0hasdeveloped to the Web2.0, and makes the transition to Web3.0.In the meantime,numerous We Media came into being and still keep growing fast,from the early blog,Wiki, BBS etc., to Renren and Douban in the last few years which are popular withthe youth group,to SinaWeibo which born in August2009, to WeChat whichlaunched by Tencent in January21,2011,and to ZHIHU which opened registration tothe public in March2013. We Media has exceeded its function as informationtransmission and information sharing tools.Unconsciously, people’s learning,working, consumption, leisure, entertainment and communication are highlydependent on We Media. Even if there is no real need, people still automaticallycontact them, and can’t be away from them for a while, which we can call a state ofmedia subsistence.Media subsistence inevitably brings about the corresponding alienation. Amongthem, the most fundamental conflict to human society can be said to interpersonalrelationships. The advent of the We Media has a huge impact on Chineseinterpersonal relationships which has a profound imprint of cultural traditions. Butstudies of this aspect may be considered as a blank piece of We Media. Accordingly,this article focused on exploring Chinese interpersonal relationships’ alienationunder the sight of We Media. Overall, this paper discusses this topic from mediatechnologies, cultural background, and the propagation characteristics these threedimensions. Firstly,this paper discusses the theoretical basis of the Web2.0and thetheory of six degrees of separation, proposing the definition of We Media,summarizing the basic characteristics of We Media, and creatively classifying theexisting We Media as strong social media and weak social media based oninterpersonal relationships. The next chapter explores the Chinese interpersonalrelationships from the perspective of cultural background, puts forward to theConfucian-based, supplemented by Taoist relationships cultural theory togetherforming the mainstream Chinese relationships, and makes a summary of basic model of interpersonal relationships in the real society. The fourth chapter analyzes thealienation of Chinese interpersonal relationships in the dimension of cultural studies,social psychology, sociology in the We Media Time, summarizing as the follows: theunprecedented amplification and generalization of interpersonal circle; thecomplexity and diversity of interpersonal relationships; the anomie of the Chineseinterpersonal relationships. The fifth chapter is to explore the causes of the alienationbased on the three dimensions: the self-alienation of subject, the mediatedcommunication under the mediated survival, the revolution and conflict of socialvalues and in the transition period, the decline of media humanistic spirit. In theend,this paper explores the following three ways of improve interpersonalrelationship in We Media Time: the subject should improve self-discipline and returnto the rational orbit; reconstructing communication environment of the We Mediabuilt on social coordination; reconstructing the humanistic spirit and strengtheningthe ethical construction rooted in the excellent traditional culture in the We MediaTime, looking forward to promoting the relevant human relationships practice underthe We Media Time.
