With the popularization of the Internet and smartphones,smartphone addiction has become a new social and psychological problem and has become a major factor affecting people’s lives and mental health.Among the group of smartphone addiction,teenagers have become the "main force",which will harm their academic performance and quality of life.Therefore,exploring the psychological mechanism of smartphone addiction is of great significance.This study reviews the domestic and foreign research developments on the relationship between shyness,social anxiety,interpersonal alienation,and smartphone addiction.According to the review,according to the theory of Internet disinhibition,shyness will have an impact on smartphone addiction.Previous empirical studies have also shown that shyness can affect individuals’ social anxiety and interpersonal alienation;social anxiety has a positive correlation with smartphone addiction;interpersonal alienation can also positively predict individual mobile phone addiction.However,there are few studies on the mechanism of shyness,social anxiety,and interpersonal alienation on smartphone addiction.Finally,this study puts forward possible relationship hypotheses for empirical research and puts forward practical and feasible reference suggestions for mental health education for the prevention of adolescents’ smartphone addiction.This study used the Shyness Scale compiled by Check and Buss,the Smartphone Addiction Scale compiled by CBSS,Kwon and others,the revised social anxiety subscale revised by Scheier and Carver,and the interpersonal alienation compiled by Yang Dong,Huang Xiting and others.Sense score scale,a survey of 694 junior high school students.The results of the study are as follows:(1)The results of the difference test show that there are no significant differences in smartphone addiction among junior high school students of different genders;there are significant differences in the level of smartphone addiction among junior high school students of different grades,which are manifested as junior high school students.The smartphone addiction level of the three students was significantly higher than that of the first grade students.(2)Correlation analysis results show that the correlation between smartphone addiction and shyness,social anxiety,and interpersonal alienation among junior high school students is significant.(3)The mediating effect test shows that shyness cannot significantly predict smartphone addiction;social anxiety and interpersonal alienation have significant independent mediating effects and chain mediating effects in shyness and smartphone addiction.According to the research conclusions,this research proposes educational countermeasures to prevent middle school students’ smartphone addiction,such as setting up positive psychology courses and helping students change their unreasonable beliefs to help students overcome their shyness;Relaxation training and social skills training to alleviate the social anxiety of shy students,and block the indirect path through which shyness affects smartphone addiction through social anxiety;provide students with a variety of aspects through home-school cooperation,campus group activities,and strengthening of psychological teacher training.To avoid the smartphone addiction of shy students or students with social anxiety due to the strong sense of interpersonal alienation,or directly start from the terminal of smartphone addiction,and help students withdraw from their mobile phones by offering a series of mental health education courses.Addiction and guide students to actively use mobile phones.
