With the increasing social demands for excellent teachers, more and more colleges setup English Curriculum and Pedagogy for postgraduates to promote the development ofChina’s English education and strive constantly to develop the team of English teachers.However, a review of the whole training procedure of postgraduates, there exists suchproblems as unclear training objective,imperfect discipline system, unreasonable scientificresearch system and etc. The talent cultivation model lags far behind the needs of thedevelopment of the times. The postgraduate program not only fails to achieve its originalgoal, but also restrains the students’ further development.Curriculum offering is the carrier for realizing cultivation target as well as the key toguaranteeing and improving education quality, it plays a very important role for masters’cultivation. By means and comparison method, current status and existing problems ofcurriculum providing for English curriculum and pedagogy were studied deeply in this paper,moreover, personal suggestions and measures were proposed to provide a useful referencefor improving the cultivation quality of English curriculum and pedagogy.Three parts were included in this paper. Firstly,12different schools were expounded toprovide theoretical foundation for curriculum offering, and realistic basis was provided bycombination of cultivate target of English Curriculum and Pedagogy and social requirement.Secondly, the main existing problems were pointed out by demonstration of curriculumproviding of200sutdents. Finally, personal suggestions and measures to improvecurriculum providing were proposed.
