Analysis On The Status Quo Of And The Countermeasures For Swimming Lifeguard Training In Hunan Province

Lifesaving sports was born with the appearance of swimming, and is the causeof a life salvation. Swimming lifeguard plays an important role in life-saving, andthe training of lifeguards to some extent exerts a direct impactt on the developmentprospects of lifesaving sports. With the development of the sport of swimming, people gradually have a better understanding of swimming sports, and swimming lifesaving becomes the primary guarantee for the development of swimming sports; therefore, swimming lifeguard training has also become one of the important aspects for countries in the world to improve and promote water sports. At present, China’s swimming lifeguard training is still in the stage of development, and the development of swimming lifeguard training is uneven. First-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin which carries out lifesaving sports in a earlier stage enjoy more rapid development of lifesaving sports and leading training levels of lifeguards in China. Those cities are gradually approching world-class level in terms of swimming lifeguard trainees, swimming lifeguard training bases construction, swimming lifesavinginvestment, swimming lifesaving coaches team, and the public’s awareness of swimming lifesaving. Hunan, as a central China province, has less input in the training ofswimming lifeguards than those first-tier cities due to the integration influence of its economic development situation, urban development level, geographical location,natural environment and other factors. At present, the training of swimminglifeguards in China is still in its early development and the professional training ofswimming safeguard was not officially started until2010, and the professionaltraining of swimming lifeguards is still in its early stage. Currently, there is not aprofessional association for swimming lifesaving in Hunan Province. Improvementin swimming lifeguard training is in urgent need. Starting from the status quo andproblems of swimming lifeguard training in Hunan Province, this paper explores thedirection of development for the swimming lifeguard training in Hunan Province inway of literature analysis, expert interviews, questionnaires and logic analysis.Analysis in this paper mainly focuses on the status quo, problems, training modelsand training institutions of swimming lifeguard training in Hunan Province. Based on the analysis, this paper proposed countermeasures and suggestions for theperfection of swimming lifeguard training mechanism in Hunan Province:1、toestablish diversified training modes;2、to encourage the spreading of swimminglifesaving to the community and schools. This paper offers a theoretical foundationfor the swimming lifeguard training in Hunan Province with a hope to improve thetraining level of swimming lifeguard, to make the swimming lifeguard training inHunan Province to keep up with market demand, to promote the professionalizationand specialization of swimming lifeguard, and to promote the development ofswimming lifesaving cause in Hunan Province.
