With the rapid development of Chinese economy, city also grew rapidly. The gap betweenurban and rural economic development and living standard is bigger and bigger. The city’srapid development has also brought great changes to the rural life. Many rural male laborsbecome migrant workers, in order to improve the economic conditions of families. As moreand more migrant workers, left-behind women become the focus of attention of thecommunity. The new generation left-behind women have characteristics of the left-behindwomen and the post80s generation. Their family relations’ problems are this article’s keypoint. In this paper, from the unique perspective of a new generation of women left behind,the author will study family relationship of women left in rural areas.The author analysis the new generation left-behind women’s family relationship throughthe pattern of difference sequence theory. The author collects data through the method ofinterview. The family relationships contain internal family relationship and expand familyrelationship. The internal family relationship contains the marriage relationship, parents andchild relationship and mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship. Expand familyrelationships include kinship and neighborhood relations.This paper found some characteristics of the left-behind women family relationship.Firstly, the new generation left-behind women’s husband and wife communication is diverse.The content of their communication is rich. The communication frequency is high. Secondly,the new generation left-behind women pay more and more attention to the all-rounddevelopment of children. Thirdly, the relationship of mother-in-law and daughter-in-lawrelationship has hidden conflicts. But their relationship is more harmonious. Fourthly, the newgeneration left-behind women construct their own relatives. The relationship of newgeneration left-behind women and their husband’s relatives is alienative. Fifthly, therelationship of the new generation left-behind women centered on female kinship isestablished.
