Because of the issue of China’s rural population and cultivated land per capita, it has produced a large number of surplus labor force. After the reform and opening up restrictions on migration were cancelled gradually, and the southeastern coastal city rapidly developed with a large demand of labor force, while inland rural young men moved in a large number of emerging coastal developed areas. Due to current than strict city and countryside dual structure, the laborer does not obtain in working area of household register, and cannot enjoy the treatment of local residents, while their wives only can stay at home. So, now a special group called "left-behind women"has appeared in China’s inland rural area. At the same time, rural left-behind women face a series of problems such as bad living environment, low quality of life, psychological long-term depression, body fatigue, etc. Therefore, there’s a research on rural left-behind women with urgency. Previous studies on rural left-behind women has made some explorations, but the change of the role of rural left-behind women and self-identity lack of certain research are rarely mentioned. Based on YueWang village left-behind women in Anhui Province, on the change of left-behind women’s family role and identity study, have certainly innovation. This research is beneficial to the promotion of the position of rural left-behind women themselves, beneficial to the improvement of the rural left-behind women’s living standards, more conducive to the construction of new socialist countryside.This paper takes rural left-behind women from YueWang village of GuZhen County in Anhui Province as research object, using the method of field investigation and literature research. It uses the field observation in the field survey of YueWang village left-behind women to observe how family roles change analysis, and the way of case interview to collect related information, and analyzes the data collected. It is an analysis on their family roles change, under the changes of adaptability and self-identity of family roles change.This study has found about YueWang village left-behind women in the change of family roles in the investigation of the problem to know that their family roles have changed, and play more social roles, such as in the division of labor shall be borne by the secondary to the main bear, role in the family in the part of the decision into a major decision, in the family relationship from coordination to tension. Rural left-behind women’s family status and social status also gradually improve, from the family to society, the role of their shift, such as in the participation in community activities have more chances to show their talents, in participation in political activities and more able to exercise his rights, but whether such change means the increased YueWang village left-behind women’s social status still need further observation and study.
