The social media, represented by the micro-blog and micro-channel, hasexacerbated the remodeling pattern of public opinion. Influenced by the ethos andInternet, the social value conflict is exacerbated. The young’s thoughts anddiscussions about the social conflicts tend to evolve into hot topics on the Web. Socialnegative emotions are spread by the Internet, quite easily influencing the social valuesof college students and causing mood swings of both teachers and students inuniversities. Meanwhile, the expansion of universities increases the burden ofmanagement and service, initiating a series of food and safety problems. Demands offood hygiene and safety in the school are expressed and disseminated through theInternet. Personal anxiety and emotional expression are easy to cause emotionalconvergence in a group, creating a strong public pressure. Therefore, the study onNetwork Management Mechanism of Public Opinions in Universities is of vitalimportance on maintaining stability of schools, keeping the teaching and research inorder and helping college students to develop the correct world outlook, outlook onlife and values.The paper can be divided into five parts. The first part introduces the backgroundinformation, research status at home and abroad, the significance and research methods.The second part explains relevant theories like the concept of College Network PublicOpinion and analyzes the classification and propagation mechanisms of CollegeNetwork Public Opinion. The third part, deploying questionnaires and interviews,studies the current network management situation of public opinions in universitiesand puts forward existing problems in the management. The fourth part puts forward acomprehensive program of network management of public opinions in universities,including valuing the " pilot" work of Ideological and political education on the web,clearing the management objectives, establishing and perfecting the networkmanagement mechanism of public opinions in universities, establishing early warningmechanism for the disposal of emergencies and standardizing operation managementmechanism to protect public opinion.
