Learned helplessness is referred to the individual has cognition, emotion, attribution,strategy, behavior obstacles after some setbacks and defeats.The ones that have learnedhelplessness characters always performed insufficient success motivation, low self-perception,low self-evaluation, low subjective judgement of achievement and negative behavior andmental set. In recent years, the studies of learned helplessness have involved in education,medicine science, sports,etc, but there is few learned helplessness studies about employment,moreover, the studies of the influences of learned helplessness on employment psychology isextremely insufficient.The study set the students who came from six higher vocational school as the objects, firstly,it investigated and analyzed their learned helplessness (employment psychology) performancesand then came to the conclusion just as followed:(1) The total level of learned helplessness is higher than the average.(2) The level of attribution helplessness, strategy helplessness, emotion helplessness, cognitionhelplessness, behavior helplessness are all higher than the average.(3) The scores of attribution are the highest of all, and then followed by strategy helplessness,cognition helplessness, emotion helplessness and behavior helplessness.(4) The main cause of learned helplessness is the inappropriate attribution way.At the same time, the author investigated and analyze the learned helplessness students’employment psychology from the employment cognition psychology, emotion psychology andsociety psychology. The influences of learned helplessness on higher vocational students’employment psychology are as followed:(1) Attribution helplessness made the higher vocational students inferior and paranoid. What’smore, their employment attitude is negative.(2) Strategy helplessness made the students compare with the higher blindly, depend on othersout of control. Meanwhile, their utilitarianism is obvious.(3) Emotion helplessness caused the students anxious and depress in the employment process.(4) Cognition helplessness made the students conflict, the self-awareness and the employmentexpectation were not high in the employment process.(5) Behavior helplessness induced the students jealous and conformity.The author analyzed the causes of learned helplessness from the individual, the society, the school, the family on the basis of the former results and put forward some advices respectively. All of what we have done is to help the students overcome the learned helplessness and madethem do well in the employment.
