The innovation of the information technology made it into the media age, blogs,forums, social networking sites, micro-blog and micro message and so on become themost popular applications representatives in the domestic for the present. As a brandnew media, The appearance of We-Media broke the discourse pattern ofmonopolization from the traditional media, it makes the individual informationspublishing and disposing of them in the center position, so opinion space anddiscourse right of the public has been further extended and released. In the face ofWe-Media age that "everyone has a microphone, everyone is a reporter, everyone isself media news communication", The situation of University Crisis Management hasbecome more serious, and the difficulty and intensity has been increasing. Therefore,how to correctly understand the influence of network media on University CrisisManagement, using the great power of network communication to promote theimplementation of strategy and the changing of concept effectively from theUniversity Crisis Management, maintaining of the campus harmony and stabilityhave become the practical problems that can not be avoided, must think, urgently tobe solved.University Crisis is an important part of social crisis, Strengthening university’scrisis management is the need of its own development, but also the socialresponsibility universities must bear. In the face of challenges and opportunities thathave brought to the University Crisis Management from We-Media, based on deeplyunderstanding the basic media, crisis and the crisis concept, with the help of the toolof crisis managements theory, sorting out the context of We-Media’s emergence anddevelopment, this paper analyzes and studies the connotation of We-Media age andthe characteristics of network public opinion. Combined with a typical case, thispaper objectively analysis positive and negative social influence from the networkpublic opinion effects in We-Media age, it clearly points out the great significance tostrengthen university crisis management in We-Media age in China. Combining theinfluence of network public opinion to university crisis management in China, analyzing the representation and cause of our colleges and universities crisis, thispaper further illustrates the new problems that our university crisis management isfacing in We-Media age. Facing the new situation and new problems, put forward tothe countermeasure and suggestion to improve the crisis management ability inWe-Media age, pointing out it is necessary,with the correct guiding principles, tostrengthen the team building of network public opinion, pay attention to the leadingeducation to network public opinion, implement the legal supervision to networkpublic opinion,perfect network public opinion monitoring mechanism and constructthe effective crisis management mechanism and so on to strengthen the networkpublic opinion management to safeguard the university campus’ harmonious, stabilityand healthy development.
