A Research On The School Bus Safety Management Of Yangjiang

The state government has formed general regulations on the application and safetystandard of school buses, but the case greatly varies in different parts of the vast country.Much differed in the ideas, cultural traditions as well as the economic development, the localauthorities have their own understanding of the rules associated with the school buses, andaccordingly, take different measures. Therefore, the situation of enhancing the safetymanagement of school buses and adopting tailored measures allows no delay.This dissertation employs literature review， comparative study， and case studyresearch and other methods to study the school bus safety management in Yangjiang，Guangdong Province. It falls into several parts， including the review and analysis of theoverall situation of the country in this field， the features that Yangjiang shows in itsmanagement system and also what we can learn from the western countries in its matureschool bus management. The objective of this dissertation is to explore safe and workablemeasures to solve the problems， and finally guarantee the safety of the students， whichwill be beneficial for both the education system and the social stability in a long run.When it comes to school buses management, it involves both the bus quality problemand the relevant regulations. The former issue needs the state government to form a technicalstandard for bus safety, while the latter one calls for legal provisions and financial support.And only through the powerful and timely government intervention can the school busproblems be solved properly. Firstly, the authority should carry out specific policiesassociated with the school bus, establish the monitoring system and enhance its role on thismatter. Secondly, it’s the school management committee’s responsibility to make the detailedplan, implement the accountability system, raise the awareness of service and promote safetyeducation among the children. Thirdly, the society should work to set up a supervisorymechanism, and create a friendly environment. Lastly, the family education is indispensable.The children’s awareness of safety should be improved within the small circle of the familyitself. The school buses management is a complicated issue involved the government, theschool, the society as well as the family. Therefore, joint efforts are in urgent need to make the school bus management a legalized, normalized and professional system.
