With the development of wireless network technology and digital equipments,the concept of lifelong-education continue to win support among the people.Mobile-learning with mobile devices whenever and wherever possible is more andmore popular, especially English, is more suitable to Mobile-learning. Thepostgraduate are a special group in the University, they often work on research. Manypostgraduate may play a variety of roles in society. So their learning time is verylimited. And they have better self-control. So they can make full use of any free timeto learn, and Mobile-learning becomes their best choice. Learning motivation is oneof the most important factors which influencing learning effects, the present researchon learning motivation generally from a social psychological perspective, moreresearch is on the learning motivation and stimulate method which is in the traditionallearning environment such as in the classroom. But a further research on the impactfactors on learning motivation of a foreign language mobile-learner individual isneeded.While the concept and related theory of Mobile-learning, learning motivation,learning motivation in foreign language and the Mobile-learning motivation in foreignlanguage are reviewed, the author put forward the basic framework of research onmotivation. There are many factors that affect the learning motivation. From the viewof the learner who is one of the learning elements, and combined with the analysis ofthe result of interviewing the learner, this article put forward four aspects of factorsthat may affect the postgraduate’s Mobile-learning motivation in English, such as themotivation in foreign language in the general environment, the attitude toMobile-learning, the ability of using mobile devices, the ability of independentlearning. Then the questionnaire is written according to the related theory, theresearch-objects are surveyed with the questionnaire in depth, and the author got thelearner factors’data of this research. Then the author carries on the statistical analysisof the survey data, through the analysis the author get the effect of each factor on thepostgraduate’s Mobile-learning motivation in English. The research found, there are differences between the postgraduate’sMobile-learning motivation in English and the Graduate’s gender and grade. The girls’mobile-learning motivation in English is higher than the boys’, the postgraduate’smobile-learning motivation in English in low grade is higher than in high grade. Thereare no difference between postgraduate’s Mobile-learning motivation in English andthe Graduate’s age and whether they have part-time job while in graduate study. In thelearner’s other factors that may have influence:“the motivation in foreign languagein the general environment”,” the attitude to Mobile-learning”,“the ability of usingmobile devices”,“the ability of independent learning” are positively correlated withthe Graduates’Mobile-learning motivation in English. The postgraduate’s attitude toMobile-learning has the most positive correlation with the postgraduate’sMobile-learning motivation in English. In the impact factors of the four level, thedegree of impact from high to low is: the attitude to Mobile-learning, the motivationin foreign language in the general environment, the ability of independent learning,the ability to using mobile devices.According to the results of the analysis, the author put forward relevant strategythat can further stimulate the Graduates’Mobile-learning motivation in English.
