Currently, the tragic events happened in the countryleft-behind children have gotthe concern of the mass media and academia to the group and their family educationwhich launched a social concerns and research for the social group. In this thesis themethods of observation, interviews and others are mainly used. Based on thechildren’s real life and family education, the problems which have been in it wereanalyzed. It has been found that long separation with parents for some children,especially for pre-school children’s mental and physical development is negative.Though, the countryleft-behind children and the problems of their development havebeen payed attention, there isn’t almost any response.This paper based on Elder’s life course theory and Bronfenbrenner’s theory ofthe ecology of human development, use the case study approach during the fieldsurvey, by interview, observation to study the early growth and family parenting stylesof countryleft-behind children who lived at X Village T County in Gansu Province.Firstly, raising questions, reviewing literature, explaining the core concept: left-behindchildren and family upbringing styles, and introducing the use of research methods.Then, according to the life course theory, combing the countryleft-behind children’searly growth and summarizing the left-behind children’s characters in that area.according to the theory of the ecology of human development, unscramble andanalyze the left-behind children’s family upbringing styles at X village. At last, givesome suggestions for open questions about countryleft-behind children’s early growthand family upbringing styles at X village. The government, society, school and familyshould form a join force to give the left-behind children a beneficial developmentenvironment.
