The Research On The Cultivation Of University Counselors’ Leadership And Role Play In China

As the enrollment of University and the gradual deepening of higher educationreform，university Counselors are faced with a big change in the role．They are nolonger the pure ideological and political education workers，but play roles ineducators、supervisors as well as servants．This is in the traditional sense of thecounselor role，in addition，the counselor is the jurisdiction of the student’s potentialleader．A counselor as the first person to open students ’ impression on schoolmanagement when they first arrive at the university，plays a leading role to the thestudents that are in the charge of the counselor．If the counselors do not have strongleadership，they will not be able to educate students，take charge of them and serve forthem，will not be able to build their prestiges among students．For getting out of thepredicament on the leadership cultivation，finding a suitable cultivation pattern forcounselors，academia has been constantly trying．So the article based on theleadership cultivation from Western and Chinese，try to excavate a suitable leadershipcultivation mode for counselors from management，leadership，education，psychologymulti-disciplinary perspective．This thesis is divided into four parts．The first part is the introduction，includingthe paper research reason，the research significance, research status at home andabroad，and research design．The thesis puts forward to the research methods，difficulties and innovation points after looking back on research status at home andabroad．The second part is to define the core concepts and elaborate theory andpractice experience about Western and Chinese leadership．To the western theory ofleadership， it gives a comparison from the public administration science andmanagement science two different perspective，and explores the west on leadershipcultivation mode，tries to learn from western．For domestic leadership theory ismainly based on Chinese traditional culture and the idea from the Communist Party ofChina，so as to explore the cultivating pattern of Chinese leadership and the mainexperience．The third part is to analysis the present situation of our leadershipcultivation about university counselors，find out the manifestations which is in thecounselors leadership and analysis its reasons．At the same time，this paper discussesthe practice of effective leadership to foster college counselors in China．The fourthpart is to summarize the practical experience of Chinese and western leadershipcultivation．We are looking forward to learn ing the successful experiences andputting forward countermeasures about how to cultivate University counselors＇leadership．...
