| As the mainstay of college student work, college counselors is a guider of college students’ healthy living and growing, and shoulder the the sacred mission of training, manager, development and education to the people.the career orientation of Counselor, determine that the counselors should possess strong leadership, so counselor can effectively carry out education, management, service and development. The high or low ofcounselor leadership, directly related to the students’ growth and timber, so there is a strong appeal to the promotion of counselor’s leadership.Compared tooverseas studies, The instructors of leadership in Chinastarted later, and lack of systematic research, thus it is not hard to see the importance and urgency of the counselor leadership studies.In this paper, on the basis of literature study, through the way of questionnaire and interview, By the counselor, college students, first-line managers of M college in Hunan private colleges as an object, analysis the the four dimensions of counselor leadership: learning ability, executive ability, innovation ability, influence. Concluded that the problems of counselor leadership: one is that counselor for the recognition of leadership is not enough; Second, instructors motivation is insufficient; Three is weaker in counselor execution; Four is instructors lack of innovation; Five is the insufficient counselorinfluence.The causes of these problems mainly include: one is that Social leadership consciousness of propaganda and attentionof instructors are not enough; Secondly, some unreasonable check standard in school; thirdly, the counselor responsibilities inaccurate positioning, division of labor is unknown; Fourth, the lack of effective training; fifth, The lack of the counselor leadership consciousness and career goals; sixth,the low of pay is lead to the underpowered of counselor study and work.This paper proposes to enhance the leadership of the counselors from the following aspects : first, strengthen the propaganda of the leadership of instructors, Enhance the importance of the leadership of the counselors; Second, increased the investment in education and improve the compensation system; Third, establish and improve the selection mechanism; Fourth, establish a reasonable evaluation mechanism; Fifth, establish and improve the training mechanism; Sixth, improve the development of the counselor team and incentive mechanism; Seventh, strengthen the scientific management of counselor; Eighth, the counselor’s own growth and timber. |
