| Critical thinking has become one of the most important abilities which undergraduatesshould master.Not only students’integrated development,but also the whole society’sadvance,enhancing critical thinking has important theoretical significance and practicalvalue.In the era of fast developing information technology,online communication is offeringunprecedented support to critical thinking training.About critical thinking training onasynchronous online communication environment has own abundant accomplishmentoverseas,but similar researchs are very few inland.Paul’ Online Model for Learning the Elements and Standards of Critical Thinking isknown as one of the most useful tools for training critical thinking.But after trying to use themodel to promote undergraduates’ critical thinking in the preliminary,we find that theundergraduates have some difficulties.Aming at solving these difficulties,this study improvesthe Paul’s Online Model,and builds the Question Interaction of Critical ThinkingModel(QICT Model)on asynchronous online communication environment.We prove that themodel is efficient by experimental method primarily.At the same time,in order to solve theproblem of undergraduates’ overdependence to teacher,we combine with the idea ofscaffolding and the feature of asynchronous online communication and create the teachingapplication method of QICT Model.This teaching application method is divided intopreparatory stage,teacher guidance stage,learning partner guidance stage and self-guidancestage, a total of four stages. The purpose of preparatory stage is making the students havepreliminary understanding on QICT Model;during teacher guidance stage,teacher asksstudents some questions by QICT Model based the communication;during learning partnerguidance stage,students ask and guide each other;during self-guidance stage,in order to makethe quality of comments can be as high as possible, students must be able to think and settlethem own connents by using QICT Model before posting comments.In the end,we combinewith course Instruction of communication,make the forum of the course website asasynchronous online communication platform, and use experimental method,questionnairemethod and content analysis method,and carry out a practice research about teachingapplication method of the QICT Model.The study shows that the teaching application method of QICT Model has a promoting effect on students’ critical thinking, and proves the positiveimpact of this method to critical thinking education. |
