High-school students’ misbehaviors in English classroom are very common and have beenconcerned. If we can deal with them effectively, they will not only close the relationship betweenteachers and students, they can maintain normal classroom discipline and improve the efficiencyof English classroom teaching, but also promote the smooth development of English teaching andachieve the teaching goal. This study centres on the current state of high school students’misbehaviors in English classroom. It explores three basic problems mainly, namely what kind offeatures do high school students’misbehaviors in English classroom have? What are the reasons ofhigh school students’misbehaviors in English classroom? How to deal with these classroommisbehaviors?To solve the problems, this study uses mainly classroom observation, questionnaire surveyand interview methods to explore the reasons of high school students’misbehaviors in Englishclassroom and coping strategies. Therefore, this study selects a typical representative of highschool and carries on the field observation to listen to the teacher; questionnaire survey has a totalof360high school students; the interviewees are composed of high school English teachers andhigh school students in a total of18. There are6teachers among them, and high school studentsare selected on the basis of the survey in a total of12. I reach the following conclusions:High school students’misbehaviors in English classroom are very wide and the features arein common. Their manifestations are mainly mild; High school students’misbehaviors in Englishclassroom are negative and harmful in a way; High school students’misbehaviors in Englishclassroom are more common and more diversiform than other disciplines, and gender differencescan also cause the differences of misbehaviors in class.The reasons that cause these high school students’misbehaviors in English classroom are theresult of interaction of many reasons, not a reason. Firstly, the particularity of English subject itselfis a reason not to be ignored that causes high school students’misbehaviors in English classroom;Secondly, students themselves are one of the important reasons; At Last, the external factorsincluding teachers, school, family and society can also lead to high school students’misbehaviors in English classroom, and the influence is very great. At present, teachers in high school Englishclass adopt mainly the method of closed preaching or after processing to deal with themisbehaviors. In fact, the relationship between teachers and students is at the level of harmony.That is to say, many teachers can realize the importance and urgency of dealing with misbehaviorsin English classroom. But on the whole, the approaches and strategies are also lack, some are notperfect. We need to improve further.
