In the learning society, the adult have been the subject of learning while learning isnecessary choice for the adult to adapt the social life. Nowadays, learning,changing from asimple way of making a living for individual to be a basic life style, has changed andinfluenced the learning theory and the learning style of adult. Learning methods of adultsneed to be built on the basis of traditional methods to highlight characteristics. At the sametime, they also should meet informal learning requirements for students to learnknowledge at any time and place, so that the property of m-learning, such as instantguiding, scene experience and so on, could be demonstrate in full. With the boomingpopularity of mobile communication technology and mobile communication devices,m-learning is appearing and becomes a reality for people to take educational activities,deliver educational information, and acquire knowledge and skills through mobile devicesand mobile networks. As mobile learning has the features such as mobility, interactivity,personalization, informality etc, it changes adult learning from the traditional classroomlearning to independent study successfully. In a word, it is no doubt that m-learning willbecome an important supplementary means of adult learning.At present, m-learning has been successfully applied in different kinds of learningpatter of adult, such as adult education, distance education, enterprise training, training ofmigrant workers, but the breadth and depth of practical application still require furtherstudy. By reading domestic and foreign researches, this study combined the theory ofmobile learning and adult learning to arrange the theory and practice of m-learning. Atpresent, the research about mobile adult learning are almost based on the development ofeducational technology perspective in our country, so this paper tries to take study of adultm-learning from the view of practical application and management. By the research andinquirement of the basic theory of m-learning, such as informal learning, constructivism learning, experience learning, situated cognition etc. Then, combining the methods andcharacteristics of adult m-learning, we conduct an investigation and analysis on thedemand and influence factors of adult m-learning with questionnaires, interviews andother forms of methods. Explore the method and path for adult to conduct m-learning,improve the quality of adult learning, increase adult social survival ability, andachieve the goal of lifelong learning.At last, this paper, based on the result, constructs principles and strategies ofadult m-learning and we believe that the development of adult m-learning is a gradualprocess. M-learning, lacking enough resources, needs to further deepen the resourcesharing. When adult learners face different problems and content, they shouldcombine psychological characteristics with learning characteristics to adopt differentlearning strategies. As colleges, they should provide support and guarantee for theeffective development of adult m-learning, need to do good job in the adultm-learning resources construction and various services about “teaching” and“learning” in the process of adult m-learning. Pay attention to the evaluation of adultm-learning.
