| The pedagogy of variation to be used in actual teaching, voluntary or involuntary. The systematical discussion and practice of the variation, however, are still scanty in biology. To resurvey biology variation teaching, we can find the meaning of pedagogy of variation:the appropriate use of variation can make learners understand knowledge form different angles and aspects, build new skills firmly and thus form the scientific attitude and spirit, it also can promote the teacher professional development and become the school teacher as scholar. The aims of the research is to sort out the connotation of pedagogy of variation, explore the view of biology teachers thinking about pedagogy of variation and the operation tactics from the examples.Variation means that it changes the non-essential characteristics of things to highlight the essential characteristics, it will help learners grasp the essential characteristics in the learning process. Using the relationship between "variational" and "invariant" can reflect the essential characteristics and the inner link of things. Variation in teaching activities can show kinds of ways to think, promote skills and scientific spirit. And it improves the mode of thinking, which individual gets all-round development in real life creatively.Biology teacher has the consciousness to using variation, but the understanding of pedagogy of variation is not comprehensive. This kind of misunderstanding will influence the teaching effect. Biological knowledge has close internal relations, variation in concept teaching can improve the process of assimilation effectively, and build stable practical skills. According to the training of variation, teachers provide abundant information and examples, it will help learners to consolidate the knowledges and abilities, widen the field of vision and promote the divergent thinking. Variation in biological experiment teaching could strengthen the operation and design ability, experience the process of scientific research, which the scientific literacy will be enhanced. Teachers can provide a creative environment for learners by using variation, the stratified teaching activities can conform to the understanding habit and development, and improve teaching efficiency effectively.The paper explores the understanding of pedagogy of variation in biology teaching and practice, and develops the understanding of variation. The basic knowledge for variation and pedagogy of variation was reviewed in first chapter; chapter two briefly introduced the research tools and research process; in chapter3, the results are analyzed, including the survey of understanding in pedagogy of variation and practice analysis; finally, the study results are summarized and some advices are proposed. |
