Biological History represents the development of biology science, it reveals a dynamic process of biological science findings and theories, with high scientific value of education; and it also introduces scientist’s life and story, the struggle course, the winding experience of success and failure, manifests the scientific history’s humanities education value. Therefore, people pay more and more attention to biological history in science teaching reform and study. Now, the main concept of high school biology curriculum reform is to improve students’science literacy, and biological history can help students construct scientific knowledge, master scientific skills and methods and experience scientific spirit. So it is a great resource to achieve three-dimensional teaching target and a good vehicle to improve students’scientific literacy.The paper mainly includes five parts:the first part briefly expounds the concept of biological history and science literacy, the domestic and foreign research situation, and the basic research methods and values; the second part investigates the current situation of biological history; the third part combed the biological history material in high school biology course standard and textbooks, then analyzes the distribution and its education value; the fourth part explores how to improve students’scientific literacy through biological history material from four aspects, combining specific teaching cases and analysis; the fifth part gives some teaching suggestions when using biological history material.All in all, introducing the scientific history education in senior middle school biology teaching is helpful to three dimensional goal about the realization knowledge, the ability, the emotion manner and the values and improve the scientific literacy..In brief, this research institute proposed teachers’and students’interactive biological history education pattern and the biological science history utilization strategy, has the certain reference value to the senior middle school biology teaching activity. But the research is limited to theoretical level due to lack of time, it stll needs further actual teaching process.
