Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory was rooted in China’s traditional culture, drew lessons from educational thought of Dewey, criticized the disadvantages of Chinese traditional education. At the same time, it is the gem in the treasure house of Chinese education theory.The core of Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory are"Education equals life"、"Society equals School"、"Unity of Teaching,Studying,Doing"which still have positive significance. At present a new round curriculum reform emphasizes on the connections of subject knowledge and life,and education of returning to life has become a hot spot in the field of education. In fact,the application of Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory in the political lesson teaching in high school has realistic necessity and possibilities currently,which will pay close attention to students’life and improve the students’quality of citizens.This paper consists of introduction、main body and conclusion. The introduction mainly introduces the reasons of research、the research significance, present situation, the research questions and methods etc.The main body is composed of four parts:The first part expounds main content and basic features of Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory. This part will accurately express "Education equals life"、"Society equals School"、"Unity of Teaching,Studying,Doing" by quoting Tao Xingzhi’s understanding of the life education theory.On this basis, this part will further summarize Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory’s basic features which is democratic, practice. Lifetime and creativity,which will provide theoretical support for Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory’s application in politics teaching in high schools.The second part demonstrates the necessity and possibility of Tao Xingzhi’s theory of life education’s application in teaching in senior high schools.From the aspect of the possibility, Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory is the same as the idea of the political lesson in high school; the nature of politics curriculum in senior high school has provided the possibility for the theory of life education’s application; senior high school student’s life experience lay a foundation for the application of the theory of life education; modern educational technology provides technical support for the application of the theory of life education.From the aspect of the necessity, The teaching of political lesson in high school which separate itself from student’s life in teaching contents, teaching methods and examination evaluation shouts for Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory; Tao Xingzhi’s theory of life education’s application in the high school political lesson can mobilize students’learning enthusiasm、develop the citizens’quality of students、promote the harmonious relationship between teachers and students, and promote the professional development of teachers.The third part explains Tao Xingzhi’s theory of life education application’s principles in politics teaching in senior high schools,relating to Tao Xingzhi’s theory of life education and politics curriculum.The principles contain:Firstly,the principle of daily.That is,teachers should have rich knowledge of life and positive life quality,while,students should pay attention to link the political knowledge and life.Secondly,the principle of development.That is,teachers should "have an insatiable desire to learn, be tireless in teaching others",constantly improve their professional quality, and the teaching process should focus on the development of students, meanwhile,learning evaluation should be good for students’grow up.Thirdly, the principle of subjectivity.That is,teaching aims should highlight the self-regulated learning ability of students、classroom teaching should arouse the students’ learning motivation, and political teachers should strengthen on guidance of self-learning method.Fourthly, the principle of practice.That is,The teaching process learning and learning evaluation should emphasize students’ praccording to the needs of teaching practice.The fourth part explains the specific strategies of Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory’s application in politics teaching in senior high schools.First, teaching goal should be related to students’ life,including knowledge goal、 capability goal and emotional values goal. Second, teaching resources should be drawn from life.For example, the teaching resources should be based on the life and contents presentation should comply with the logic of life.Third,life should permeate into every link of teaching process.Specifically,teachers should guide the students to explore and experience.and help students choose appropriate learning methods.Fourth,learning evaluation should link to life.It includes diversified assessment subjects and evaluation contents’ relation to life.Lastly,the conclusion part of this paper make a summary, and put forward some suggestions to political teachers based on Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory.
