Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Adult Higher Education Reform

Adult higher education, the highest stage of adult education development, has made great contributions to the development of social economy. With the advent of the information age, the diversity of people’s demand for knowledge, the adjustment of educational system education and the depth of long-life education and the community education concept, as well as the implementation of college enrollment expansion and a series of educational reforms, the adult higher education, especially the regional adult colleges has met hitherto unknown challenges and difficulties.《Shanghai’s middle and long term education reform and development plan (20102020)》 proposes that "the new education system of life-long learning" should be established till2020. Long-life education is the basis of constructing learning type society, and the construction and development of adult higher education is essential to achieve the strategy of life-long education. Therefore, in this context,to strengthen the study on the construction and development of adult higher education has important practical significance.Mainly through synthesizing domestic foreign research results, using irritator analysis, comparative study,empirical analysis together with normative analysis etc, this paper makes Shanghai regional adult colleges as the research object, conducts a comprehensive study on the development of adult education current situations and the existing problems, and analyzes its own characteristics and advantages. Meanwhile, combining with 《National Education Development Twenty-fifth Year Plan》,《Plans and Outlines of Shanghai’s medium and long term reforms and developments, and development demands of constructing learning type society, some countermeasures and suggestions on development of Shanghai regional adult colleges have been put forwarded.
