For the whole life, people face the problem of "adaptation", and the ability of adaptation is one of the important indexes of a person’s socialization depth. Junior middle school students spend most time at school, so schools adaptation is a comprehensive reflection of all aspects of their development. By the subjective and objective factors, junior middle school students who come from rural poor single-parent families prone school maladjustment, and the traditional school education cannot solve the problem completely, so the involvement of professional social work is needed.The focus in this paper is studying the adaptability problems junior middle school students from rural poor single-parent families are facing. Researchers locate junior middle school S’students who come from rural poor single-parent families as the object of study. Through the Long interview of qualitative research methods, researchers had deep interviews with students who are from rural poor single-parent families in junior middle school S and their parents, class supervisors, classmates, school faculties, local civil affairs staffs and other main bodies. Associated with the guideline of ecosystem theory, researchers took deep analysis of the gathered information. From the aspects and features of school adaptability, researchers observed the adjustment condition those junior middle school students who come from rural poor single-parent families have, and found out that those students had difficult adaptation in vary levels.From the perspective of the ecosystem theory, this article divides the reasons that affect the school adaptation junior middle school students have to three systems and four levels, and they are:microscopic system, mesoscopic system (including intermediate system and outer system), and macroscopic system. The negative school adaptations mainly relate to the maladjusted function and communication dysfunction between series systems. Specifically, reasons in microscopic system include family and school; reasons in microcosmic system include communication between family and school, parents’ working places and help from government; and reasons in macroscopic system means the affection social culture has to school adjustability.The involvement of traditional schools’ ideological and political education have little effect towards the negative school adaptability junior middle school students who come from poor single-parent families. Indeed, it will cause negative influence, but the school social work can provide more specific, flexible, and deep service to students who are from rural poor single-parent families, and they can help students to reach their individually growth. In views of the above, researchers try to bring up specific Intervention roles and strategies from the perspective of social work. From this research, we find out that social workers can act as people who are from the same profession. As a fraternity, he/she can be an audient, advocate, supporter, and coordinator. School social workers can combine the using of individual cases, the technique of team and macroscopic social work to coordinate the maladjustment and unbalance condition between junior middle school students who are from rural poor single-parent families and the outside environment. Social workers can also combine families, school and government, build up a three-in-one education internet web to have an educational composition of work forces, and therefore comprehensively solve the problem of maladjustment.
