Since the1990s, our country attaches great importance to the development of social work. Social work gradually spread in mainland China, at the same time, universities have also opened social work courses. In recent years, the vast majority of graduates are not engaged in social work, and professional brain drain of social work is serious. These are not conducive to social work professional talent team construction, and even restrict the development of the social work profession.In this paper, on the basis of combining previous research, I choose e qualitative method, and use depth interviews between11social work graduates in Ji Nan.Through the analysis of the data, it is concluded that the loss experience of social work graduates in universities is different. Some graduates are initiative to give up the profession of social work, and some is to make certain to try and then give up. They also have different flow. They often don’t choose social work at last. Their graduation flow are mainly companies looking for a job. taking part in the postgraduate entrance exams and going abroad to continues to pursue advanced studies, taking an examination of civil servants and selected graduates.and self-employment. Moreover, taking part in the postgraduate entrance and civil servants exams becomes the main target of the many college students career planning. Social work professing rate is low, but turnover rate is high. Social work professional brain drain phenomenon is serious.The reasons of social work professional’ outflow are many. There are subjective and objective reasons. The key still lies in the objective reasons. Subjective aspect mainly includes no sense of achievement and little development space; embarrassed Identity and low professional feeling; low belonging and professional thought; the weakness of their own professional advantage; the pressure of social expectations, family expectations and personal expectations, and such traits as personality, interests do not match social work. Objective reasons mainly include the low wages, lack of professional jobs, imperfect career system and professional education, and insufficient government investment. At the same time, social work professional’outflow brings different level influence to individual, social work institutions and social work profession.Finally, on how to avoid the loss of social work professionals,Ⅰ put forward some corresponding countermeasures from the government level, school level and individual that striving to increase the rate of social work professional counterparts and reduce the turnover rate of the social work professionals.
