On The "NEET" Phenomenon Of College Graduates And Measures

With the reform of our national economic structure and the adjustment of higher education, college graduates have experienced great change on the background of adjustment of industrial structure, the change of employment system and enrollment expansion of colleges. There a part ofcollege graduates join in the "NEET" group, because they can’t obtain a job timely in recent years. That group is different with the former "NEET" group who were unemployed because of illiteracy or low literacy. The NEET group of college graduates are not illiteracy or low literacy, on the contrary, they have higher educational backgrounds, and accumulate their level of cultural knowledge.The "NEET" of college graduates make the phenomenon of NEET in China become more complex, which raises the community’s extensive concern about the problem of "NEET".The author attempts to put the "NEET" of college graduates first. On the basis of the data of The Report of the College Employmental Pressure " that is from2009to2013,the author selected thetypical cases to investigate by depth interview with interviewees, and collected the firsthand information that the study needs, which can sum up some reasons why there are the "NEET" of college graduates. These reasons include society, family, school, and college graduates themselves. By analyzing the reasons systematically, it provides the measures to prevent the "NEET" of college graduates and reduce the this phenomenon.The first measure is about broad environment. Government must reform the employment system, and build loose employmental environment.The second measure is about the education of family. Parents should improve their cultivation and quality, change their education concept, and focus on the material and mind when they educate their children. The third measure is about education of school.The content of education of school must change the system, and make the quality-oriented education be applied by education of school, especially, higher education. The school must change the ways of major courses, and strengthen the practicability and feasibility of educational curriculum of vocational counsel. The fourth measure is that college graduates should try hard to improve their integrated and ideological quality, change the employment concept, grasp the practical chances that can link theory with practice, and improve their employment abilities. At last, through the efforts of all round and all levels, it makes the NEET of college graduates access to the big family of society, and found a mentally prevent the increase of "NEET" group of college graduates.
