The Research On Application Of Physics History In Rural High School Physics Teaching

Teaching the history of physics is very effective in high school, whichcould be helpful to the growth of students. In my opinion, students in rural high schoolare different from students in urban high school, as well as the current status of theteaching of the history of physics in rural high school and urban high school. Teachingthe history of physics in rural high school could benefit the students in many ways.As a high school teacher, I analyzed the background and current status of theteaching of the history of physics around the world, and investigated the teaching ofthe history of physics in two rural high schools. This article will be illustrated from thefollowing six aspects:1) a summary of the development of the history of physics,2)the knowledge about the history of physics in the new edition physics textbooks usedin Sichuan province,3) the role the history of physics plays in every part of the physicstextbook,4) a few examples of physics culture implied in the history of physics,5) thespecial influence on rural high school students by teaching the history of physics,6)the practical experience of teaching the history of physics in rural high school.According to information from the questionnaires and interviews, the high schoolstudents in rural area long for knowledge about the history of physics for knowing littleabout it. In addition, despite being aware of the importance of the history of physics,many teachers don’t know how to teach it well. Moreover, the knowledge about thehistory of physics was tested in the college entrance examination recent years.Therefore, it is necessary to pay more attention on the teaching of history of physics inrural high school.
