It is an important responsibility for modern education tocultivate students’ oral communication ability and make students becomecompetent communicators. As its main carrier, the Chinese oralcommunication course in middle school has not received enough attentionover the years. The current situation of its teaching evaluation, in particular,is not optimistic. The new requirements proposed by the new curriculumstandards, the current situation of oral language teaching in junior middleschools, the improvement of students’ Chinese accomplishment andcomprehensive quality as well as the academic evaluation reform currentlypushing on all call on schools to attach great importance and strengthen theoral communication teaching evaluation. Through questionnaire statistics,this paper gets to know the real level of students’ oral communicationability in Chengdu junior middle school, as well as the current situation andproblems of junior school oral communication teaching evaluation.Through analysis, this paper concludes that: the problems exist in oralcommunication teaching not only lie on ideas and methods, but rest morefundamentally on the lack of a set of scientific, reasonable and effectivesystem and standardsThe evaluation model of communicative competence is an assessmentmethod around the core of language communicative competence, aiming toevaluate one’s language ability. Its idea is perfectly in harmony with thecurriculum standards. It is completely feasible to guide oral communicationteaching with the evaluation model of communicative competence.According to the ability factors in the model, this paper makes analysis onthe oral communication ability of junior middle school students in differentgrades. On basis of students’ ability change and both physical and mentaldevelopment, taking oral communication teaching gradient as thebackground, this paper creates a comprehensive evaluation gauge tomeasure the oral communication ability of junior middle school students,aiming to make a multi-level and multi-dimension comprehensiveevaluation on students’ overall performance of oral communication abilityin a certain period. Based on the oral communication teaching strategy and idea of theevaluation model of communicative competence, and through emphasizingon cultural fertilization, paying attention to life background, strengtheninglanguage knowledge and attaching importance on communication value,this paper centres on this philosophy and discusses from two aspects,including non paper-and-pen test evaluation and paper-and-pen testevaluation.This paper is divided into four chapters, and makes research on oralcommunication teaching evaluation in junior middle school from aspects:“evaluation model of communicative competence and oral communicationteaching evaluation”,“current situation of oral communication teachingevaluation in junior middle schoo on basis of evaluation model ofcommunicative competence, as well as cause analysis”,“the guidance ofevaluation model of communicative competence on oral communicationteaching evaluation” and “oral communication teaching evaluation strategybased on evaluation model of communicative competence”.
