Adolescent Sex Education In Migrant Children By Integrated Social Work Approach

In the process of cities’ evolution, migrating children are the by-products of their parents, who are the exceeding rural labour force, rushing into cities for working. In the recent years, because the migration of rural surplus labour force is becoming more and more prevailing, and it shows familize trend, so the size of the migrating children is keeping growing fast. In this research, I define the migrating children as those who come from countryside but follow their parents to go to cities and study there and whose age are between10and14. Currently, the sexual assaulting children have already been a global social issue. Especially in the past years, that migrating children were sexual assaulted frequently and the responsibility of lacking sexual education has been the headline of the main news media. Nowadays, the sexual physic and psychology of children mature in advance, and their sexual values are blurred. It is a special period for the children who enter adolescence, when the capacities of self-guarding and distinguishing the right and the wrong are weak, to form their world views and value views. Hence the issues are becoming serious even more, due to the migrated children in cities lack of good schooling and parenting. The necessary of offering sexual education to the senior students in primary school has become an unavoidable fact. the author has experienced giving adolescent education as a social volunteer, college volunteers take part in schooling as a third-party roles, which are the service deliverer, the resources collector, the educator, the advocator and the promoter. etc, all of which is needed badly by the children who enter their adolescence. We obtain the raw materials by behavior studying, observing and interviewing skills. The social workers participate the sexual education by combining the community education, group and individual case, which is known as integrated social working methods, these services achieve some affects in school Y, and gain the school’s praise. But because the social volunteers’ status were not honored enough, there are still some difficulties for social volunteer to intervene schooling. The last part of this paper discussed the integration of community education, group treatment and case study measure, optimizing the educational environment of the migrated children in middle and micro level, assisting migrated children to pass their adolescence peacefully and to learn how to protect themselves.
