Study Of Current Situation Of Regular Senior High School Students, Leisure Life In Southern Jiangsu And Educational Countermeasures

Since the21st century, with the development of our country’s economy andpeople’s living standard, people have been more and more eager to enjoy rich andcolorful leisure life. Leisure education is one kind of education activities which aim toimprove people’s life quality through their leisure quality. Its practice helps peoplerealize various leisure demands. High school is the key period of teenager’s physicaland psychological development, as well as an important phase of formation on people’soutlook of world, life and values, so the leisure education for high school students is putin an outstanding place. Nowadays, effective leisure education needs the corporation ofschool, family and society, not only one party. Through it, students can form scientificleisure concept and attitude, and arrange their time and activities reasonably at the sametime.The study has sampled three high schools from the whole twelve ordinary highschools in Jiang yin which is in southern Jiangsu province. Through questionnaires,individual interviews and statistical analyses, I have drawn the conclusion that studentsamong this district have problems of leisure life as follows:1.serious lack of leisureactivities in their spare time;2.few and unchangeable occasions for students’ leisureactivities;3.monotonous and tedious types of leisure activities;4.negative attitudestowards their leisure time;5.insufficient instructions on leisure activities from theschool and parents. I have analyzed the cause of the situation and put forwardcountermeasures about leisure education for high school students in this area.1. Peopleabide by the guide of country’s educational policy;2. School arrange curriculum andactivities for leisure education;3. Families satisfy teenager’s leisure needs;4. Societyand community provide support and insurance for leisure education;5. High schoolstudents themselves increase their leisure consciousness.Innovations:1Compared with other studies, this study further improve the theoretical supportof leisure education for ordinary high school students, including Marx’s theory ofall-round development, the theory of Environment Effect, Kohlberg’s theory of stages ofmoral development, Eriksson’s theory of eight stages of personality development, thetheory of lifelong education.2This paper is to study the condition of high school students’ leisure life insouthern Jiangsu province and put forward some practical countermeasures for leisureeducation, and these measures can only be applied in certain area.
