As far as our knowledge is concerned,self confidence and positive motivation to learnare no doubt the secret to efficient learning. But we cannot deny the fact that during thetraditional classroomteaching, too much emphasis is excessively laid on the systematicknowledge teaching and critical evaluation, but not on the cultivation of students’s selfconfidence and motivation to learn,which results in the sad truth that students’ motivationto learn has’nt been greatly stimulated and the lack of their self confidence. so the teachingand learnning procedure is not enjoyable to both teachers and students in our country.butthings are quite different in the UK, the positive learning status of students in UK areimpressive to me, besides inspired by my splendid teaching experiences for a whole scoolterm in the schools of the UK,I conducted a study on applying appreciation intoclass-teaching in our school in China.In this study,I firstly investigated and analyzed the status of thekowledge of positivemotivating education among the average students and teachers in grade two of Tian Kaping Experimental Senior High School through working out the early questionnaire namedthe status of positive motivation in class-teaching,on basis of which,and then conducteda study on the changes in four aspects: teaching pricinple and attitudes, learningenvironment,teaching process,during a series of teaching process as follows,such as,teaching aims designing,learning assessment and evaluation, classroom management andafter-school activities organizing, arrangements for prevision and revision,reciting wordsand self-made examinationation papers,I set teaching strategies aimed at stimulating thelearning motivation of the students in grade two by means of positive motivating education. At the same time,I carried out the experimental class teaching in a positive motivating wayamong the students of class five in grade two for a whole semester. Eventually,accordingto the data analysis of late questionnaire named positive motivating education applied inchassroom–teaching and the students’ satisfactory academic scores during the final test,itproved that the strategies put forward in the study are definitely practical and can beefficient.
