Cultivation of College Students'self education ability will enhance the college students' moral quality and practice ability, and it is the ultimate goal of ideological and political education, therefore, not only the family, but also school and society all together pay more attention to the cultivation of university students'self-education ability, but training effect is not very good. Then, what are the problems existing during in the cultivation of undergraduates' self education ability? And how to strengthen the cultivation of the ability?This paper uses literature research method, system science method, logical thinking method and survey method. Based on the summarize of current situation of cultivation of students'self education ability, this paper analyses the outstanding problem that faced in the cultivation process. Based on related theory of positive psychology, this paper puts forward suggestions to strengthen the cultivation of undergraduates'self education ability.The main conclusions of this paper are reflected in the following aspects:firstly, the self education ability is refers to complication ability of person to achieve a certain educational goals, and the ability is an open system which external force can intervene to enhance the ability, and then strengthen the effect of the cultivation of self education.Secondly, the cultivation of self education ability faced many problems:the first is that the effect of cultivation of undergraduates'self education ability is not ideal; the second is that college students are lack of subjective initiative during the cultivation of self education ability; the third is that the training methods and means are too simple; the forth is that the theory of the cultivation is not sufficient; the fifth is that the support system of external environment is still imperfect. Thirdly, positive psychology such as positive emotional experience, the theory of positive traits of personality theory, optimistic explanatory style theory, social environment system theory, provide basic theory to cultivate the college students'self education ability. The increase of positive emotion experience is beneficial to improve the subjective initiative; the formation of optimistic explanatory style is beneficial to improve the cultivation of college students' positive self consciousness; the formation of positive personality is beneficial to help college students to improve and perfect itself; besides, related theory of positive psychology also expand the methods of cultivation of college students' self education ability.
