The number of vocational college counselors is in high increase with the highlydevelopment of college education. In vocational colleges,counselor is a vital part,thepower source of teaching and educating students, and the backbone of students’political educating. It is observed that vocational college students are quite differentfrom university students not only in the entrance exams scores but also in collegeenvironment, teaching method, knowledge scope, study ability and students’all-round quality. All these differences determine the different approaches vocationalcounselors and university counselors should adopt. Considering the above specialties ofvocational students, the significance of constructing college counselor’s staff isparticularly big. Wuxi Vocational Colleges Park is the center of Wuxi vocationaleducation, in which eight vocational colleges are located. In the park, due to the lackof effective motivate mechanism, the problems among vocational counselors areemerging, such as no strong external incentive, incomprehensive internal incentive,employment instability, slow rising of overall team quality, serious brain–drain andso on. These problems are giving negative impacts on vocational students’ politicaleducation. Therefore, stabilizing and enlarging the team of vocational collegecounselors plays a vital role in the future development of vocational colleges in thepark, or even in Wuxi. Moreover, establishing the sound inspiriting mechanism tomotive all the college counselors is highly important to the constructing of counselorsteam.This paper consists of the following aspects: Firstly, the concept of counselorincentive mechanism of Higher Vocational Colleges of study, research and incentivesfor counselors on the basis of literature survey was analyzed, pointing out that the significance of the research. Secondly, in the theory of incentive mechanism under theguidance of instructors, using the theory of incentive mechanism analysis, findingthe deficiencies in the counselor incentive mechanism. Thirdly, combining thesituation of Wuxi vocational education park existing counselor incentive mechanism,the use of interviews,data analysis as the basis,points out the insufficiency of HigherVocational College Counselor incentive mechanism triggered by problems. Fourthly,from theory to reality, incentive analysis of the existing problems and reasons forcounselors in the management. Fifthly, In order to explore the principles of perfectingthe vocational college counselor incentive mechanism,we study the perspective of thequestion and the reason. Sixthly, we obey the incentive principle, putting forwardmeasures and suggestions on the approaches to realize the counselor incentivemanagement process.
