A new round of history curriculum reform aims to improve the students’ abilities ofreading and observing history, form some historical scenarios imagination in line with thehistorical conditions at that time, learn to access historical information from a variety ofchannels, understand the historical materials as the basis to explain the historicalimportance. Form initially the capacities of emphasizing the evidence of historicalconsciousness and treating history information, raise gradually the understanding of historyand learn to analyze and solve the historical problems. This agrees with the intention ofhistorical materials. Historical materials teaching is often illustrated and reasonable. It cannot only increase the class interest, arouse the students’ interest of learning history andimprove the efficiency, but also cultivate students with historical data as the carrier andcultivate the students’ abilities of thinking in history objective. Based on the presentsituation of junior history teaching, the article gives a detailed explanation of cultivatingstudents’ abilities of historical thinking with the historical materials teaching in differentclasses. At the end of the article, I think that Historical materials teaching should focus onthe cultivation of students’ basic historiography accomplishment and stimulate students’interest in order to build the method system in historical teaching.
