At the end of the20th cenury,various countries curriculum reforms seek thestandpoint between the national curriculum development and school-based curriculumdevelopment to display the curriculum well. Our country’s elementary educationcurriculum through recent years’ exploration and the research,has stepped onto the roadcomplied with the tidal current reform,And has strengthened the curriculum to theshchool,student’s compatibility,and let school oneself have the certain curriculumdecision-making power and the option.Geography,which assumed the important task to training the qualified citizens,shouldalso seize this opportunity.Although school-based curriculum development emphasizes,weclearly know that the sense of discipline backgroud..Therefore,under this actuality andtradition condition,geography teachers must to practice school-based curriculumdevelopment based on geographical subjects.In this paper,estabished in geography’s special characteristics,such ascomprehensive,dynamic,open and practical,and guided by the theory of “PracticalModel”,”Process Model”,multiple intelligences,construction systematic in educationaltheory,a school-based curriculum based on geographical subjects was developed throughfully exploit the resources both inside and outside shool to fulfill the fundamental purposein social development needs of the diverse talents and the full development of students.The system of this paper was built and discussed through twodimensionalities:First,the basic concepts and theories of geography school-based curriculmdevelopment was induced and summarized in the theoretica level;Second,based on theinvestigation and a large number of cased,the strategies and methods of the geographyschool-based curriculm development were discussed in the practical level.
