In different parts of the world,due to unsustainable production and the way of resources,environment,health and other issues,let the human began to face an imminent challenge of sustainable development.We must change the concept and consciousness of the masses,cannot do without the important means of education,to make the citizens of the world are formed the concept of sustainable development also cannot do without education.School education is the main way of the form of sustainable development,the junior middle school stage teenagers at the age characteristics,cognitive characteristics and ways of thinking are more conducive to the implementation of education for sustainable development.The national curriculum has on the content of sustainable development embodied,but can not adapt to different regions different students.In recent years,in order to meet the requirements of the times,the research and development of school-based curriculum has gradually attracted the attention of many schools.This article is to study the development of junior high school geography curriculum based on the sustainable development of education,the Jianyang XuShi Town District of Nanping city in Fujian Province as a case,using literature research,investigation,experiment,questionnaire,interviews and other methods of junior high school geography school-based curriculum development.Through the research and develop to XuShi town as an example,school based curriculum for the education of sustainable development with the practice of students.Starting from the definition of sustainable development,this course divides some sub-items into three modules:resource,economy and environment.Through the verification and implementation of school-based curriculum teaching,the school-based curriculum not only make up for the deficiency of national curriculum area,but also allow students to fully understand their hometown,love their home,give advice and suggestions for the sustainable development of the homeland,so as to form the adult coordinated and sustainable development concept.
