This paper is investigate the definition of the development of school curriculum and other related concepts, its evaluation approach and its examples of cases, based on the former development of theoretical research into the field, instructed by the outlines and new ideas about the reform of the elementary education curriculum, relied on pedagogies, theory of geography teaching goal and its evaluation system, as well as methods including comparative study, comprehensive analysis, bibliography, and inductive approach, etc.By synthesis comparison between various definitions of school curriculum, and the comparison the domestic and foreign examples, we see that goal of developing school curriculum may concern: To take the school as the foundation, take scientific evaluation on the students of demand , make good use of the local community and the school curriculum resources to develop the vitality and the open class models for the students to choose, when to take the fundamental research and practicing exploration in reforming the standard curriculum. Put curriculum and the teaching mutual together, the teachers play the main part in the curriculum reforming to create an open, interesting elementary education curriculum system with Chinese characteristics.The practice of geography curricular reform profoundly proves that the enhancement of the inner quality is the crucial problem. The administrative department of education and the school leaders must attempt different methods to improve geography teachers of inner quality. the traditional system of geography curricular appraise no longer meets the need of curricular reform. To change the obsolete system of appraise into a new one is extremely urgent to ensure success. Therefore geography teachers are required to keep on with the study.
