Research On Teacher’s Complimentary Expression Evaluation Behaviors In English Teaching In Higher Graders Of Elementary Schools

It is not only a very common phenomenon in English teaching in Higher Grades ofElementary schools, but also an important form of bilateral activities between teachers andstudents that teachers evaluate students. The praising words evaluation behavior is a veryimportant part of the teaching behavior evaluation in Higher Grades of Elementaryschools, the praising words evaluation behavior can create a relaxed atmosphere,mobilizing students’ enthusiasm in English in High Grades of Elementary Schools, Thepraising words is the positive, appreciation and praising judgment, not only buildingself-confidence, but also mobilizing students’ enthusiasm. so it has been used widely inthe process of English teaching in High Grades of Elementary Schools.Under the research background, this research is to investigate and analyze thepraising expression taken in the Grade5and Grade6by English teacher of four primaryschools in Jiuquan city, Gansu province. Basing on teaching practices and the writer triesto investigate the praising evaluation expression of English teachers in Higher Grades ofElementary schools by the way of classroom observation, communication, questionnaire investigation and physical analysis. However, the article focuses on the statuesque,problems and reasons of using the praising evaluation expression. At last, as far as theproblems of the praising evaluation expression behavior, the writer offers advice abouthow to improve the behavior, which is the core of this research.There are six parts in this thesis.The first part is the introduction, including thebackground of this research, the aim and significance.
